Jordan Cohen is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School and has been practicing law since 1982, primarily in the areas of real estate and corporate/commercial law.  He has extensive experience in the acquisition, financing, leasing and sale of commercial, industrial and residential properties.  He has also acted for financial institutions in all aspects of secured lending and enforcement in both the real estate and corporate setting.

In his practice, he also acts for entrepreneurs and private companies in the establishment, organization and financing of their operations throughout Canada.  In particular, he has guided many American corporations in the acquisition or establishment of Canadian businesses and in working with their local advisors to create appropriate structures and financing arrangements while working with both Canadian and U.S. lenders.

He is also the main contact in the firm for Mackrell International, an international law firm referral network with over 80 firms in more than 60 countries.  This network membership enables us to conduct multi-jurisdictional transactions more effectively.  Membership in this group also allows us to refer our clients to known counsel in foreign jurisdictions when the need arises.

Jordan is active in the local Bar.  He is a long-time member and currently secretary of the Real Property Executive of the Ontario Bar Association and is occasional speaker on continuing education in real matters at both the Ontario Bar Association and the Law Society of Upper Canada.  He is the past President of the Ontario Chapter of the Canadian Associates of Ben-Gurion University.  He is married and has three grown children.  In his spare time, he is a very competitive duplicate bridge player who just recently won his first North American Bridge Championship and an avid reader of history.
